You bring the room together; participants scan a QR code and their phones turn into dembrane portals. They record every conversation at once, show live results while everyone is still in the room, and deliver an outcome document where every insight traces back to what was actually said. dembrane comes as a self service platform, or as a hosted event where a dembrane event crew member (or one of our founders) runs the session with you. ### How does it work? Participants scan a QR code with their own phone and start talking, in small groups or one on one. dembrane transcribes every conversation live, in more than 150 supported languages and dialects. While the room is still together you see what is coming up across all the tables, and groups can check and refine their own summary. Afterwards you get a report in which every insight links to the quote, and the audio, it came from. ### How is dembrane different from ChatGPT or a meeting notetaker? We specialise in empowering huge groups all at once. Try getting 50 conversations on the record with a standard meeting notetaker - we have tried, it's a huge hassle. Because we are specialised, we focus on all kinds of useful details: Built in pseudonymisation, Scan to record at scale, monitoring, dynamic dashboards. You name it. There's other details too: our prompting and methodologies have been refined over thousands of projects and we care about the details, like supporting code switching (when people switch language mid sentence) and making sure the analysis is rooted in the recorded conversations rather than generic online sources. ### Will people really speak freely while being recorded? It may be counterintuitive, but when stakes are highest, people are often reassured to see every word carried exactly rather than a note-taker's paraphrase. And participants hold the controls: there is a pause button on every conversation, because the point is not that everything is recorded, but that everything people want to share is. Our longest-running deployment, a people's panel in Northern Ireland, saw more openness, not less. ### Can dembrane host our event? In the Benelux, a dembrane host (or even one of our founders, let us know) can run the session with you, from intake to report. In the UK, US, Australia and Germany, we work with partners. Everywhere else, we can provide hands on event support remotely. We train your own team to run the room while dembrane listens live in every language. Not sure what you need? Get in touch and we can figure it out together! ### Can you train our own facilitators? We provide training as part of our EU AI Act risk mitigation strategy. We strongly recommend training your team regardless of where you are based so that they know how to use dembrane effectively and deal with otherwise difficult situations as they might arise. ### What does it cost? You can get started for free. Just create an account - We also have 3 paid products: Hosted events, workshops with support, and ongoing use. In most cases, a hosted event is €1,250 for preparation (intake, event design, workspace setup) and €1,250 per event day, with consultation, event design, dedicated support and server queue priority included. Bigger programmes (on the order of 1000+ people, or more than 100 portals at the same time) get a custom quote in the intake call. Workshops with support start at €500 per day, that includes a quick-fire training, 1 day of intensive recording with up to 20 portals at once, and access to the platform for a month afterwards (for the analysis). After the first training, it is €350 per workshop day. Workshops are great for between 20 and 50 people. Ongoing use is unlocked after your first hosted event, workshop, or dedicated training. With ongoing use we scope a custom offer for your team. Ongoing use is ideal for consultancies and participation agencies that run a lot of events and workshops. We customise the offer to fit your budget and needs. Accommodations can be made if you, for whatever reason, cannot afford dembrane. Just mention scholarships in your intake call. ### Can we try it first, for free? You can create an account for free. A free account comes with your first hour of transcription, and a single seat already carries a full event: everyone scans the QR code, one person holds the dashboard. Most clients ran one session first: a team day, one table, one round of street interviews. Or bring us along to your next event and get expert care. ### What if we can't afford it? We never want money to be the reason you can't listen to your community, but we also never want money to be the reason dembrane goes under. If you need budget assistance, please apply for a scholarship! ### Where does our data live? Your data is stored encrypted on EU servers. dembrane is ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant. The AI analysis runs on Google Vertex AI under a dedicated agreement with Google, and we use their EU endpoints exclusively, so processing never leaves European infrastructure. We never train models on your data unless you opt in. Pseudonymisation is a feature you can switch on per project: names and other identifiers are removed before analysis. Your data stays only as long as you keep it: delete a project and it is gone from our servers too. Our standard data processing agreement is at dembrane.com/legal/dpa, and everything else your data steward will ask about is documented in the trust center. ### Is dembrane open source? Yes, you can find our source code on GitHub at github.com/dembrane/echo. Our platform is licensed under the Business Source License (BSL 1.1), which means you can deploy and use it yourself, unless you are using it on behalf of an organisation that makes more than 1 million euros a year, in which case we ask you (kindly) to buy a commercial licence so we can continue to support our development. ### Do we need special hardware or an app? Any phone newer than an iPhone 8 with a browser can record a conversation: participants scan a QR code and talk. Nothing to install, nothing to hand out. ### Which languages and dialects does it work in? dembrane can record more than 150 languages and their dialects. We have tested it in English, Strong Irish Dialects, Dutch, Frisian, German, French, Luxembourgish, Basque, Catalan, Welsh, Arabic, Turkish, Polish, Ukrainian, and a room can switch languages mid-sentence (a citizen assembly in Luxembourg runs in four languages at once). Because we refuse to cut corners on transcription, clients tell us it holds up where other tools slip: jargon, local terms, regional accents and mixed-language conversations. ### How many people can take part? As many as you like: every plan comes with unlimited participants. We do limit the number of concurrent portals: the number of recordings happening at the same time. Workshops are limited to 20 portals at once, and for hosted events, around 100 portals at once is where an event becomes a bigger programme, which gets a custom quote in the intake call. ### How do I know the output is what people actually said? One of our foundational beliefs is that AI is suspect. Many AI notetakers make a summary of a conversation, and then you might make a summary of a summary, and eventually it's like making a photocopy of a photocopy and the truth degrades. We treat AI as a black box and so should you, but luckily, with big conversations: you have access to the truth right there: the participants! We have built lots of features that leverage the fact that participants can verify if they feel heard by dembrane's interpretation. Like Verify, where each group gets a first version of dembrane's summary back on the spot and they can refine it by talking on, or typing, until it feels right; that verified record then weighs heavier in the analysis. At events, live feedback on the big screen is another way that people can share whether they recognise themselves. The final backstop is that insights carry quotes straight from the transcript, with the audio behind them as a source of truth (unless you run in anonymous mode). ### Can I use dembrane for meeting notes? You can use dembrane to record and understand any conversation, but it shines at scale! Why have endless meetings when you can host the most impactful moment of the year with all your stakeholders together and completely transform your organisation? ### Who do you work with? Anyone who has to listen to a lot of people. Lots of municipalities such as Amsterdam, Vienna, Den Bosch and Zaltbommel, Dutch Ministries, the VNG, Provinces, healthcare watchdogs, construction and housing associations, Banks, and lots of NGOs and agencies who run participation projects. Beyond the Netherlands we support a citizen assembly in Luxembourg that runs in four languages at once, and peacebuilding dialogues in Northern Ireland. dembrane started in 2022 in the public domain, and what every client has in common is that dialogue is central to how they work, and something has to be done with what people say. ### What is dembrane best suited for? Any moment where many conversations happen at once and you need to bring them together: assemblies, information evenings, multi-stakeholder sessions, workshops with 20+ people, street interviews, and audio surveys where people talk instead of type. It shines when you want to see where conversations agree, where the biggest tensions sit, and what gets lost in the usual report of "the atmosphere" and a few photos. ### Do you have a one-pager, case studies or a demo video? We offer dedicated trainings to help with that: two hours online for a single facilitator, or an afternoon for a team, and you leave knowing how to design a session, what to ask the data, and how to handle the difficult moments at a table. In the meantime, read how dembrane adds value. ### Can we steer the analysis with our own context or questions? Yes, and you should. Every project has a context field for your goals and the themes you care about; the analysis uses it to frame what it reads. Every view starts from your own research question, and you can hand it a framework to cluster by. There are no default questions, because every session is different. The question participants see on their screen is context too: the framing of the session, visible when they leave the main room. You can also add a list of proper nouns so dembrane can spell them correctly. ### Can I upload documents or PDFs? With a workaround: You can add text to a project the same way you add a recording: paste a report section, an email or a summary, and it becomes part of the data. We advise keeping a project pure and running the analysis on the conversations first, because documents added up front colour what comes out. Do you need dedicated document upload? Let us know! ### Does it work for online or hybrid meetings, with Teams or Zoom? For an online session, participants can just scan a QR code and place their phone next to their laptop to record the call which works really well. Audio recorded with another tool can be uploaded to the dashboard afterwards. For dedicated video deliberation we are partnering with Frankly, a platform built by a Harvard and MIT lab. There is no Teams, Google Meet or Zoom integration yet. Do you need one? Let us know! ### Does it know who said what? We don't do speaker detection because current techniques are not good enough, and giving the analysis models fake data on who is speaking is worse than giving it the verbatim transcript with no such metadata. As a nice side effect that makes the results more egalitarian, it means that what was said counts, not who said it. ### Does it pick up tone, emotion or body language? There are no visuals, so body language is not captured. The analysis runs on what was said, not how it was said: optimism and frustration are usually readable from people's choice of words, and we are experimenting with analysis directly on the audio to detect sarcasm. Because the analysis is never perfect, the result should always go back to participants to check and correct. ### Can we analyse across sessions, places or projects? Most clients run each session as its own project, create a report per session, then merge projects for one big analysis. Within a project you can chat with specific recordings ("what are the biggest differences between session A and B?"), and tags let you mark tables, locations or themes and filter the analysis by tag. ### Can colleagues work in the same workspace? dembrane workspaces can be shared with colleagues across different organisations with clear access roles, like a shared document: no bottleneck through one owner. For sensitive projects we provide audit logs. Agencies can make a workspace for each of their clients, with its own billing and separate data ownership controls. ### Can I export transcripts and results? Transcripts can be downloaded from the dashboard at any time, also when a subscription ends. Anything the chat produces can be copied straight into your own document. A direct export of views and reports is being worked on. Audio can be exported unless it was recorded in anonymous mode. ### What if the wifi drops during a recording? Nothing is lost. Recording uses very little data, and a phone keeps recording without a connection, then uploads when the connection returns. You can also record locally with any device and upload the audio to the dashboard afterwards if you have no wifi at all. We are considering a "dembrane phone" so you can ask participants to call dembrane instead of scanning a QR code. Interested? Let us know! ### How much lead time do you need? Rolling out a dembrane event usually takes less than a day: you make a free account, we sit together for at least an hour to make sure you can make the most of dembrane, and you are set. We have run events planned five minutes in advance. ### Can participants interact with the AI during a session? Participants mostly just talk. At the end of a conversation they can use the Verify feature to see a first summary and can say what is wrong or missing, which is how we make sure dembrane stays true to what participants want to share. If you want more, you can also configure dembrane to be a brainstorm partner, a blind-spot finder, or a digital socrates to ask difficult questions that take conversations to a deeper level. Afterwards, participants who leave their email can receive a short summary of their own contribution. ### What comes out at the end? Four things. The full transcripts (live). Verified outcomes per conversation (if enabled). An overarching report for the session, written as neutrally as possible from everything that was said and the context you gave, structured around the questions the conversations actually answer. And results to any question you ask to our chat: you can ask where the biggest tensions were, how much depth each theme got, which tables discussed what, and get tables and heatmaps alongside the text. ### Who is Evelien? Currently we use the latest Gemini models hosted on Google Vertex AI in the EU. Our source code is available on GitHub at github.com/dembrane/echo. ### How many people can take part in a training and what does it cost? We have 2 training options: The remote training is €675, takes 2 hours and includes 5 participants. Additional participants at €60 each. Covers responsible use of AI in participatory settings, platform walkthrough, and comprehensive project setup. The in person training is €2,500, takes 4 hours and includes up to 10 participants. Additional participants at €195 each. This training is a deep dive into methodology, AI risks, hands-on practice with real scenarios, and workspace configuration for your context. ### How do we record breakout sessions at many tables at once? This is the thing dembrane was built for. Put one phone on every table: a participant scans the QR code, the phone becomes a portal, and it records that table's conversation for as long as the round lasts. Twenty tables means twenty portals, all transcribing live at the same time, in whatever language each table speaks. While the round is still running you see on the dashboard what is coming up across all the tables, so the plenary can start from what was actually said rather than from three people reporting back. No app, no microphones, no notetaker per table. ### Can we run several rooms or parallel sessions and keep them apart? Yes. Every portal is its own recording, so nothing gets mixed. Give each room, track or round its own tag and you can filter the analysis by it afterwards: what did the housing room say, how did round two differ from round one, where did the two locations disagree. Bigger programmes with several sessions on different days usually run each session as its own project and merge them at the end for one overall analysis. ### Does it work for World Café, open space and other table formats? Yes, and these are the formats we see most. World Café: the phone stays on the table while people rotate, so every round is recorded and you can ask afterwards how the conversation at a table changed as new people arrived. Open space: whoever opens a session scans a code, and sessions that were never written down anywhere finally end up in the report. Fishbowls, dialogue tables, citizens' assemblies, information evenings with stations: if people are talking in groups, a portal on the table records it. The format stays yours; dembrane just makes sure nothing that was said gets lost. ## FAQ (Nederlands) ### Wat doet dembrane eigenlijk? dembrane maakt het makkelijker om chocola te maken van grote, rommelige gesprekken. Daar zit je eerste uur transcriptie al bij, en met één licentie draai je al een heel evenement: iedereen scant de QR-code, één persoon houdt het dashboard in de gaten. Vraag dan een beurs aan! ### Waar staat onze data? Je data staat versleuteld op EU-servers. dembrane is ISO 27001-gecertificeerd en AVG-conform. De AI-analyse draait op Google Vertex AI, onder een aparte overeenkomst met Google. We gebruiken alleen hun EU-endpoints, dus de verwerking blijft op Europese infrastructuur. Op jouw data trainen we nooit modellen, tenzij je daar zelf voor kiest. Pseudonimisering zet je per project aan: namen en andere herleidbare gegevens gaan eruit voordat de analyse begint. Je data blijft alleen zolang jij dat wilt: verwijder je een project, dan is het ook van onze servers weg. Onze standaard verwerkersovereenkomst staat op dembrane.com/legal/dpa. Al het andere waar je functionaris gegevensbescherming naar zal vragen, vind je in het Trust Center. ### Is dembrane open source? Ja. Onze broncode staat op GitHub: github.com/dembrane/echo. Het platform valt onder de Business Source License (BSL 1.1). Dat betekent dat je het zelf mag installeren en gebruiken, tenzij je dat doet namens een organisatie die meer dan een miljoen euro per jaar omzet. We hebben het getest in het Nederlands, Fries, Engels (ook met stevige Ierse dialecten), Duits, Frans, Luxemburgs, Baskisch, Catalaans, Welsh, Arabisch, Turks, Pools en Oekraïens, en een zaal mag midden in een zin van taal wisselen (een burgerberaad in Luxemburg draait in vier talen tegelijk). Omdat we niet beknibbelen op transcriptie, horen we van klanten dat het overeind blijft waar andere tools het laten afweten: jargon, lokale termen, regionale accenten en gesprekken waarin talen door elkaar lopen. ### Hoeveel mensen kunnen meedoen? Zoveel als je wilt: bij elk pakket is het aantal deelnemers onbeperkt. Wat we wel begrenzen is het aantal gelijktijdige portals, dus het aantal opnames dat op hetzelfde moment loopt. Bij workshops zijn dat er maximaal 20 tegelijk. Bij gehoste evenementen wordt het rond de 100 portals tegelijk een groter programma, en daar hoort een offerte op maat bij die we in het intakegesprek maken. ### Hoe weet ik dat de uitkomst klopt met wat mensen echt gezegd hebben? Een van onze grondovertuigingen: AI verdient wantrouwen. Veel AI-notulisten maken een samenvatting van een gesprek, daar maak jij misschien weer een samenvatting van, en uiteindelijk is het een fotokopie van een fotokopie: de waarheid vervaagt. Wij behandelen AI als een black box, en dat raden we jou ook aan. Maar bij grote gesprekken heb je geluk: de waarheid zit gewoon in de zaal. De deelnemers! We hebben allerlei features gebouwd rond één gegeven: deelnemers kunnen zelf toetsen of ze zich gehoord voelen in de interpretatie van dembrane. Zoals Verify: elke groep krijgt ter plekke een eerste versie van de samenvatting van dembrane terug en scherpt die aan door verder te praten of te typen, tot het klopt. Die geverifieerde versie weegt daarna zwaarder mee in de analyse. Op evenementen is live feedback op het grote scherm nog een manier waarop mensen kunnen laten weten of ze zichzelf herkennen. Het laatste vangnet: inzichten dragen citaten rechtstreeks uit het transcript, met de audio erachter als bron van waarheid (tenzij je in anonieme modus werkt). ### Kan ik dembrane gebruiken voor vergaderverslagen? Je kunt met dembrane elk gesprek opnemen en begrijpen, maar het komt pas echt tot zijn recht op grote schaal! Buiten Nederland ondersteunen we een burgerberaad in Luxemburg dat in vier talen tegelijk loopt, en vredesdialogen in Noord-Ierland. dembrane begon in 2022 in het publieke domein. Wat al onze klanten gemeen hebben: dialoog staat centraal in hoe ze werken, en er moet iets gebeuren met wat mensen zeggen. ### Waar is dembrane het meest geschikt voor? Elk moment waarop veel gesprekken tegelijk plaatsvinden en je ze bij elkaar wilt brengen: ALV's, burgerberaden, participatieavonden, sessies met meerdere stakeholders, workshops met 20+ deelnemers, straatinterviews, en audio-enquêtes waarbij mensen praten in plaats van typen. Het komt het best tot zijn recht als je wilt zien waar gesprekken elkaar vinden, waar de grootste spanningen zitten, en wat verloren gaat in het gebruikelijke verslag met een sfeerimpressie en wat foto's. ### Hebben jullie een one-pager, case studies of een demovideo? We werken op dit moment aan een video! Tot die er is, zijn er een case study over het vredeswerk in Noord-Ierland, geschreven door People Powered en deze website. Plan een intakegesprek of neem contact op, dan sturen we je iets op maat voor jouw publiek. ### Hoe halen we het meeste uit dembrane? Daar hebben we trainingen voor: twee uur online voor één gespreksleider, of een middag voor een team. Daarna weet je hoe je een sessie ontwerpt, wat je de data kunt vragen en hoe je de lastige momenten aan tafel opvangt. Lees in de tussentijd hoe dembrane waarde toevoegt. ### Kunnen we de analyse sturen met onze eigen context of vragen? Ja, graag zelfs. Elk project heeft een contextveld voor je doelen en de thema's die voor jou tellen; de analyse gebruikt dat als kader. Elke view begint bij jouw eigen onderzoeksvraag, en je kunt een raamwerk meegeven om op te clusteren. Standaardvragen zijn er niet, want elke sessie is anders. Ook de vraag die deelnemers op hun scherm zien is context: de vraagstelling van de sessie, zichtbaar zodra ze de plenaire zaal uit zijn. En je kunt een lijst met eigennamen toevoegen, zodat dembrane ze goed spelt. ### Kan ik documenten of pdf's uploaden? Met een omweg. Tekst voeg je aan een project toe zoals je een opname toevoegt: plak een stuk uit een verslag, een e-mail of een samenvatting, en het hoort vanaf dan bij de data. Ons advies: houd een project zuiver en draai de analyse eerst op de gesprekken, want documenten die je vooraf toevoegt kleuren wat eruit komt. Heb je een echte documentupload nodig? Laat het ons weten! ### Werkt het voor online of hybride bijeenkomsten, met Teams of Zoom? Bij een online sessie scannen deelnemers gewoon de QR-code en leggen ze hun telefoon naast de laptop om het gesprek op te nemen. Dat werkt heel goed. Audio die je met een andere tool opneemt, upload je achteraf in het dashboard. Voor beraad dat volledig via video loopt, werken we samen met Frankly, een platform gebouwd door een lab van Harvard en MIT. Een integratie met Teams, Google Meet of Zoom is er nog niet. Heb je die nodig? Laat het ons weten! ### Weet het wie wat heeft gezegd? We doen niet aan sprekerherkenning. De huidige technieken zijn daar niet goed genoeg voor, en liever geven we de analysemodellen het letterlijke transcript zonder die informatie dan verzonnen gegevens over wie er aan het woord was. Een mooi neveneffect is dat de resultaten er gelijkwaardiger van worden: wat gezegd is telt, niet wie het zei. ### Pikt het toon, emotie of lichaamstaal op? Er is geen beeld, dus lichaamstaal wordt niet vastgelegd. De analyse kijkt naar wat er gezegd is, niet naar hoe het gezegd is: optimisme en frustratie lees je meestal goed af aan de woordkeuze, en we experimenteren met analyse direct op de audio om sarcasme te herkennen. Omdat de analyse nooit perfect is, hoort het resultaat altijd terug te gaan naar de deelnemers, zodat zij kunnen controleren en corrigeren. ### Kunnen we over sessies, plekken of projecten heen analyseren? De meeste klanten geven elke sessie een eigen project, maken per sessie een verslag en voegen de projecten daarna samen voor één grote analyse. Binnen een project kun je chatten met specifieke opnames ("wat zijn de grootste verschillen tussen sessie A en B?"). Met tags markeer je tafels, locaties of thema's, en daar filter je de analyse dan op. ### Kunnen collega's in dezelfde workspace werken? Een dembrane-workspace deel je met collega's, ook als die bij een andere organisatie werken. Iedereen krijgt een duidelijke rol, net als in een gedeeld document: niemand hoeft langs één eigenaar. Voor gevoelige projecten leveren we auditlogs. Bureaus kunnen voor elke klant een eigen workspace maken, met eigen facturering en eigen zeggenschap over de data. ### Kan ik transcripten en resultaten exporteren? Transcripten download je wanneer je wilt uit het dashboard, ook als je abonnement is afgelopen. Alles wat de chat oplevert, plak je zo in je eigen document. Aan een directe export van views en verslagen werken we nog. Audio kun je exporteren, behalve als die in anonieme modus is opgenomen. ### Wat als de wifi wegvalt tijdens een opname? Dan gaat er niets verloren. Opnemen kost heel weinig data, en een telefoon neemt zonder verbinding gewoon door en uploadt zodra die terug is. Heb je helemaal geen wifi? Dan kun je ook met elk apparaat lokaal opnemen en de audio achteraf in het dashboard uploaden. We denken na over een telefoonnummer voor dembrane, zodat deelnemers kunnen bellen in plaats van een QR-code te scannen. Interesse? Laat het ons weten! ### Hoeveel voorbereidingstijd hebben jullie nodig? Een dembrane-evenement staat meestal binnen een dag: je maakt een gratis account, we zitten minstens een uur samen zodat je alles uit dembrane haalt, en je kunt beginnen. We hebben evenementen gedraaid die vijf minuten van tevoren waren gepland. ### Kunnen deelnemers tijdens een sessie met de AI in gesprek? Deelnemers praten vooral gewoon. Aan het eind van een gesprek kunnen ze met Verify een eerste samenvatting bekijken en zeggen wat er niet klopt of ontbreekt. Zo zorgen we dat dembrane trouw blijft aan wat deelnemers willen delen. Wil je meer? Dan kun je dembrane ook instellen als brainstormpartner, als zoeker naar blinde vlekken, of als digitale Socrates die lastige vragen stelt en het gesprek een laag dieper brengt. Achteraf kunnen deelnemers die hun e-mailadres achterlaten een korte samenvatting van hun eigen bijdrage ontvangen. ### Wat komt er aan het eind uit? Vier dingen. De volledige transcripten (live). Geverifieerde uitkomsten per gesprek (als je dat aanzet). Een overkoepelend verslag van de sessie, zo neutraal mogelijk geschreven op basis van alles wat gezegd is en de context die jij meegaf, opgebouwd rond de vragen die de gesprekken echt beantwoorden. En antwoord op elke vraag die je onze chat stelt: waar de grootste spanningen zaten, hoeveel diepgang elk thema kreeg, welke tafels wat bespraken, met tabellen en heatmaps naast de tekst. ### Wie is Evelien? De online training kost € 675, duurt twee uur en is inclusief 5 deelnemers. Elke extra deelnemer kost € 60. Je leert verantwoord omgaan met AI in participatie, krijgt een rondleiding door het platform en zet een compleet project op. De training op locatie kost € 2.500, duurt vier uur en is inclusief maximaal 10 deelnemers. Elke extra deelnemer kost € 195. Dit is de verdieping: methodologie, de risico's van AI, oefenen met echte scenario's en je workspace inrichten voor jouw eigen context. ### Hoe nemen we deelsessies aan veel tafels tegelijk op? Hier is dembrane voor gemaakt. Leg op elke tafel een telefoon: een deelnemer scant de QR-code, de telefoon wordt een portal, en die neemt het gesprek aan die tafel op zolang de ronde duurt. Twintig tafels betekent twintig portals, die allemaal tegelijk live transcriberen, in welke taal er aan die tafel ook gesproken wordt. Terwijl de ronde nog loopt zie je in het dashboard wat er aan alle tafels speelt, zodat de plenaire terugkoppeling begint bij wat er echt gezegd is in plaats van bij drie mensen die samenvatten. Geen app, geen microfoons, geen notulist per tafel. ### Kunnen we meerdere zalen of parallelle sessies draaien en die uit elkaar houden? Ja. Elke portal is een eigen opname, dus er loopt niets door elkaar. Geef elke zaal, track of ronde een eigen tag en je filtert de analyse er achteraf op: wat zei de zaal over wonen, hoe verschilde ronde twee van ronde één, waar waren de twee locaties het oneens. Grotere programma's met sessies op verschillende dagen draaien meestal elke sessie als eigen project en voegen die aan het eind samen voor een analyse over alles heen. ### Werkt het voor World Café, open space en andere tafelvormen? Ja, en dit zijn de vormen die we het vaakst zien. World Café: de telefoon blijft op tafel liggen terwijl mensen doorschuiven, dus elke ronde wordt opgenomen en je kunt achteraf vragen hoe het gesprek aan een tafel veranderde toen er nieuwe mensen aanschoven. Open space: wie een sessie opent scant een code, en sessies die nergens werden opgeschreven belanden eindelijk in het verslag. Fishbowls, dialoogtafels, burgerberaden, informatieavonden met stations: als mensen in groepjes praten, neemt een portal op tafel het op. De vorm blijft van jou; dembrane zorgt alleen dat niks van wat er gezegd is verloren gaat.
